The weather was nice and warm, I was also ready for an adventure. So I headed to my nearest form in my homeplace Hanumangarh, the Bhatner fort. It funny that this place is only 10 km away from my home but I never visited it yet. Can you believe this? Well, anyway, I decided to visit this magnificent place and explore its wonders.

You will be surprised to know that the walls of this fort are plastered with mud! Still, this fort managed to survive 1700 years. Truly a masterpiece from ancient Indian architectures. Even the walls of this fort are around 1 metre thick!! Even a canon cannot make a hole in such walls. But sadly with time… these walls will come to their end slowly and slowly.

The view from these dangerous windows gives a sneak pick to the outside beauty of Bhatner fort. You can see the outer walls up from here and the old untouched bricks. These bricks are gradually turning black with time, but still are strong enough to support fort’s weight.

These broken walls and dangerous slides here in Bhatner fort might attract a lot of wanderers and travellers like me. But be sure to take care of your safety while taking shots here. Just one leg slip and you will fall four-story down straight into an ancient brick. I assure you, it will hurt

In the end, I had a great fun here. It was a marvellous experience to visit this place. And all that for FREE! Since there is no fee on entry ticket, you can visit this place anytime you like! I recommend you to visit this place in the morning as you can take some pretty good shots in the golden hour. However, all these pics in this article are taken in the evening time. So it doesn’t really matter when you visit, all that matters is to have a great time. Cheers!
